The High Performance Computing Facility is a research core facility that works under the auspices of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI).  The University of Oregon is a comprehensive research university with a total student enrollment in excess of 20,000 and it is the only AAU institution in the state of Oregon.  With over 20 interdisciplinary research centers and institutions and seven research-active Schools and Colleges, the UO is a significant contributor of research discoveries that benefit society and fuel the nation's economy.
